Ana’s life-long love of fibre started with knitting as a child. She later added spinning and weaving to her repertoire and eventually her love of colour landed her in dye pot!
Ana’s specialty is one-of-a-kind sock yarns. More recently she’s added lace weight yarns to her line-up. For larger lace projects, up to three skeins of lace yarn dyed in the same signature colourway are available.
Art-by-Ana is a home-based business based in a small town outside of Ottawa . “It’s not quite on a farm, but it’s ‘country’ for a city girl”, she says. Her business is keeping her busier than expected but she enjoys the stay-at-home lifestyle, which has enabled her to pursue her other interests, such as gardening and renovating her 90-year-old home, with husband, Art.
”I’m happiest when I get lost in what I do”, says Ana. Being creative, working with colour and sharing these passions with others is what Art-by-Ana is all about
